The Sony Project at SFCM
In the fall semester of 2020 I had the pleasure of studying at SFCM in the Technology and Applied Composition department as an undergrad. In the Composition Workshop I composed a piece for the Sony Project.
I scored a piece and made a mockup for Parallel called Vexx Rexx.
It is about the villain of a video game.
Over the semester I recorded, mixed, and produced the mockup, and for my final I perfected the score and the Pro Tools DAW, and they were submitted to Sony for review.
Sony chose their top ten picks to record at Castle Recording Studios in Nashville and I am extremely proud to announce that I made the list!
I am so grateful and excited for the opportunity and I look forward to recording at Sony in two weeks.
Recording the Sony Project at SFCM TAC Studios
This past weekend we recorded everyone’s Sony pieces at SFCM TAC Studios in SF. I had the pleasure of being a Pro Tools operative and working with our awesome Producers Raheem and Jessica in the studio. We recorded over two days with some very talented musicians studying at SFCM, and with Daria Novo as our conductor.
It was a fantastic and memorable experience!
Friday at TAC Studios
